About Gentsounds
A self trained drummer turned DJ, Gent soon followed his passion for music by turning to music production, using a drum machine, a 4-track, and a Yamaha sampler. In 1991 he opened up a studio out of his house and was involved with several cassette releases. 6 years later he started selling beats, followed by a two year hiatus working for Motown Promotions. 2004 marked the opening of FutureStar Recording Studio near downtown Fort Worth. Since then he has worked with many local artists including Mashmode, Ghetto Troopaz, and B.B. Jay, and the F.M., whose albums have racked up 6 Texas Holy Hip Hop awards.
